BOTOX, also known as Botulinum toxin, is a neurotoxic protein that is used to relax the facial muscles. The effects of the treatment work to soften the appearance of fine to deep facial wrinkles, creating a smoother-looking appearance. The active constituent in botox is a protein complex, derived from Clostridium botulinum. Intramuscular injection prevents the release of acetylcholine, preventing muscular contraction of the targeted area. BOTOX is a prescription-only medication.

Allergan 100iu Injection is a protein made by a type of bacteria (Clostridium botulinum type A). It works by blocking the release of a chemical (acetylcholine) which normally cause the muscle to contract. This temporarily weakens nerve activity in the muscles and helps reduce abnormal muscle contractions.

It may cause swallowing, speaking, or breathing problems. Inform doctor if you develop trouble swallowing, slurred speech, loss of bladder control, muscle weakness or breathing difficulties. It may also cause dizziness as its side effects, so do not drive or do anything requiring concentration.
